The builders are back in town and start tomorrow morning. On the schedule during this trip is to gut and replace the walls, floor and ceiling in one bedroom. The room also is going to have a new central heating system installed and hot water boiler. This will require an airing cupboard to be made and installed. Once that’s complete the new downstairs bathroom needs commissioning (small mater of attaching the heated floor, thermostat and lighting).
Then it will be onto upstairs fitting a new window, installing two new skylights, radiators and electronics then plastering. That’s a big job as the upstairs of the house is over 160sq meters and raises to 8 meters at the highest point. The plastering alone will take around three weeks. Once they have done this a new kitchen needs to be installed including the gas fitting.
Tomorrow I’m off to test drive a new potential car. I had settled on the Mini Cooper S with the Williams works kit but I’m rather taken with the Honda Civic Type R only the test drive will tell.
