Friday 16th October 2009

Wet, tunnel repairs and accidents the unholy trilogy that ends up in a long queue of traffic on the way into work. Days like today I like to go through town rather than taking the ring or going country the Haarlem way. They seem to have been working on the IJ for months and I guess this has scared off people from going this way for a couple of years now. If you know the ring is stationary then cutting through the city is a lot more relaxing. Sure there is a little bit of start and stop but at least you move all the time. Being in the mini put on some tunes, roll back the carpet and enjoy the ride. What with it being Friday and all will try to sort out a number of loose ends before the weekend. Only thing that really has to get done today is need to send out materials for review prior to the Architectural Oversight Board at the end of the month. Its interesting to see how the shortage of money has driven innovation and also tarnished the shiny new penny approach.
