Professional help in Holland that’s like a honest estate agent a dead breed. The man came look out the window at the pipe then told me I needed a pipe cleaner. I tried to point out that the pipe clear had already told me I needed a plumber! Resigned to the fact the toilet needed fixing I set to work on it myself.
After marginal success with the drain cleaner for the Karcher, I was getting more and more frustrated and even more likely to become very close friends with the cesspit. I finial decided there was nothing for it but to take the whole pipe away. After a quick root around in the tool shed I came up with a nice handy crowbar, a masonry chisel and the hammer (wow all my tools were in the right place). A few taps later and the pipe was in my hand, so what if a bit of concrete would be required.
I set about separating the three pipe sections and in a couple of minutes had a two foot long root ball with the diameter of a tennis ball, god only know how the toilet worked all this time!!! Replacing everything was fairly easy, I did a fairly wet mix of sand, cement and a few stones a bit of shuttering and the thing is back together.
Yet again it proves if you want something doing yourself in Holland do it yourself trying to get anybody to a job of work is bloody impossible.
