The Rat Zappers I bought from the UK actually arrived!!! Not that bad service. Minor problem with the large extra powerful batter pack as neither seemed to work. I phoned the company I had bought the zapper from and he told me to check I had the contacts correctly placed on the unit. I took the box to bits whilst he was talking and check, he was dead on right once I had the batteries pushed home the little red light flicked into life. I decided not to do the finial test which involved a nasty spark couple with a bang and involved a screwdriver best left to the professionals. The power plugs in on a phono jack and one of the units seemed to have a bit of a problem. I could not be bothered sending the unit back so stripped it down removed the obstruction and reassembled much to my surprise it worked. After careful review of the product literature the zappers have been installed in the stable block. One is carefully installed in the rafters on a well known rat highway whilst the other is hidden behind the feed bins a place rats will always be shocked if they do not find a free meal. Both units have been baited with cat food after the recommendation of the manufacturer. I wonder how long before we get the first kill.
