My phone never did turn up, I must have left it in one of the side bins on the plane, one of them had a cloth lining and I bet it was lying in there. I phoned the airline they said it had not been handed in so found, try phoning lost and found. I read the policy for lost and founded which stated it did not deal with stuff from the airlines. Makes sense but I phoned them anyway as expected not there thing but they did give me a number for the airline (same one I already had). Phoned the airline not nothing has been reported, I asked if somebody could check the bin lining on the plane, I was then told that security checks would have found it. I then pointed out that the same check would have found the half eaten bandwidth that was left over from the previous flight or the food in the magazine holder? I then wanted to report it as stolen but this was not getting me anywhere. The phone was insured for 50 Euro so at this point I decided my life was already short enough so gave up the game.
On my return to work I was impressed that they already had replacement SIM’s for me but not as yet the corporate phone. One of the benefits of working for IT R&D is there are always a number of phones lying around so I grabbed one of the trusty MPX200’s battery life sucks but at least it has internet. There were some better units I could have used (MPX220, XDA1 and the swanky MPX) but I like the Smartphone 2002 for some reason. Did not bother getting my email connected as Smartphone + Email Push = less than one day battery life.
