I’m still waiting on the replacement piston rings from Beedspeed in the UK. I ordered them about a week ago. They were sent by first class post so they should be here any day now. I’m off down the scooter shop tomorrow to see if the engine is ready. If all goes to plan they should have fitted the gear upgrade kit, split the crank and replaced the seal (and any other bits that need changing). Once that’s done it should be a simple matter of putting back the rear break, fly wheel, cylinder head and putting the engine back in the chassis. I guess its about 3-4 hours work in total. I’m on holiday tomorrow so hopefully I can get it all done then.
The guys should be finished on the first part of the farm today or tomorrow which means things will get a bit less hectic for a couple of weeks. Time to start planning the next bit of work, once again a reason for being on Holiday tomorrow.
