New Scooter

My Gilera Runner from 2003 is starting to get a little tried. Its fine up to about 60km a hour but if I hope the throttle any more than that it starts to cough and splutter. Done a ton of things to try figure out what is causing it, could be the fact the ECO needs a good clean or it might be the fuel pipe is starting to loose its grip and fuel is leaking. I noticed that fuel was getting onto the rear mug guard on full throttle so it might be that.

In any case this week I made the decision to get a Peugeot Elystar 50cc. The link is for the German site as the official Dutch site seems to be offline.

I found a good blog on an early model in English and Dutch. Some great tips had a look at a few of the extra's I can get on the Rollercenter website.

Think I might have a go at making some travel video so I did a little bit of research into a basic waterproof cam corder. I like the look of the Kodak Playsport, should do the trick with a 16gig card will give me 10 hours of 1080P high def video. Just need to figure out how to mount it on the bike.

Hope to get it next Saturday you never know Roy from fa.Van Laar said it might be in, my guess is i will have it for the weekend of my birthday which will be great.

My try to do a bit of blogging about Travels on the scooter not sure I will do much video editing but might do a little.

Off to Paris later today will try to write some stuff on the train I have a fair few things to say about the recent 8K SCC filing from EMC. EMC's online ordering systems have been offline since Friday 11th and it takes them until the 17th to make a claim. Went to the press meetings no real information was provided, arranged a meeting with our head of risk management they failed to provide any information. We are left with 140,000 frightened users and our customers wanting to know what the hell is going on and expect us to provide the answers EMC is not doing. Every day they dont disclose drives another nail into the once great RSA. In reality I doubt anything has been compromised to the extent our environment needs to be shut off its not really the point.
